Multilayer Plastic Barrier Casings

Single-layer plastic casings
These single-layer casings are suitable for the production of sliced and semi-processed products, as well as products that do not require high protection (barrier). The casing provides an optimal barrier for color, aroma, and weight. Additionally, the casing is easily fillable. The single-layer casings are available in plain, printed, and various colors.

Smoke-Permeable Plastic Casings
These plastic casings are made from various highly specialized polymers. They are the first plastic casings that match the properties of fibrous, cellulose, and inedible collagen casings.
They have the following general characteristics:
- High permeability to water vapor, smoke, and to a lesser extent, oxygen.
- Excellent peelability, especially lengthwise (for slice applications)
- After peeling, they have a very smooth, shiny surface
- Compared to fibrous, cellulose, and inedible collagen casings, they have lower oxygen permeability, resulting in less oxidation and a fresher taste for the product
- No traces of the casing remain on the sausage after peeling.
